Description
Curious about professional woodworking machines and want to learn how to use them safely and confidently? In this practical workshop, you’ll be introduced to the most important machines found in a professional woodworking shop and learn how they are used to build furniture and other woodworking projects. With expert guidance, you’ll gain hands on experience with machines such as the table saw, jointer planer, bandsaw and edge sander. You’ll learn how to prepare rough timber by making it straight, flat and square, creating the foundation for accurate and high quality woodworking. Throughout the workshop, there is a strong focus on safety, correct machine operation and developing good workshop habits. By working with the machines yourself, you’ll gain a clear understanding of the machining process and the role each machine plays in turning rough lumber into usable material.
